Antonio suffers from poliomyelitis and he’s one of many people in our country who got this disease before we could eradicate it.
As a child he suffered from a severe form of “polio” that took his autonomy.
In Antonio’s village, the streets were very sloping, with no asphalt which made it really difficult for Antonio to go out
of his house.
Antonio was a school student, but all those little barriers made his way to school almost impossible to pass.
One day, Antonio’s father, got back home with a donkey… And from that very moment the donkey became “a wheelchair with legs”
for Antonio, carrying on his back the boy, to school or any other place he’s tell him to go.
Right now Antonio lives happilly with his family, having his job… And we always meet and talk about that young boy and his donkey.
